Join us!Job Description:This job is responsible for providing advanced end-to-end operational support for securities, loans, exchange traded derivatives and over the counter derivatives across multiple lines of business, and cross-business functional support through the lifecycle of a trade. Key responsibilities include ensuring trading and operational activities are completed accurately and before deadlines, researching and resolving complex issues, and simplifying client interactions.   • Provides operational support for one or more activities within the lifecycle of a trade, including trade processing, trade settlement, accounting and reconciliation, lifecycle events, and collateral management
  • Provides simplified client interactions and deepens client relationships across Global Banking and Markets' clients
  • Completes accurate, timely clearing and settlement of trades with internal and external counterparties including reconciliation management and governance of trade fails and breaks
  • Performs tasks accurately during high volume periods in a team environment
  • Improves and simplifies the client experience, reducing manual touchpoints
  • Supports the implementation of new processes to improve the overall business operating model
  • Identifies and flags potential risks in a timely mannerJob SummaryThe Municipal Banking and Markets Trade Support team offers support services to several business segments including Bond Syndication, Market Making across all Muni bond types, as well as Capital Markets including structured Products and Derivatives. This role will provide an associate the opportunity to learn various support services across products, platforms and processes for the business segments noted directly above. Exposure across product and platforms ensures broader coverage and stability for the team as well as a more complete understanding of how the business functions for the associates performing the role.Existing process include; Trade validation and ongoing trade maintenance and reporting. Requires product knowledge, knowledge of financial instruments accounting relevant to the area supported. Delivers support for new products and initiatives, provides analysis and KPI/MIS reporting. College degree (Bachelors or higher). Required skills include: expert Excel knowledge, financial products knowledge, ability to analyze, reconcile, and interpret large amounts of data, detail orientation, ability to manage multiple priorities and multi task, excellent time management and prioritization skills, with ability to meet tight deadlines, the ability and willingness to continuously learn on the job, technical fluency, with ability to learn new systems quickly, the ability to problem-solve and take ownership of process improvements, the ability to work in a team environment, the ability to adapt to and take ownership of change and excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate with various stakeholders. Desired skills & knowledge include: experience using Bloomberg, accounting knowledge, economics, business, mathematics, finance, accounting, or similar major. Desired experience includes Internship experience, have 3 to 4 years of experience in the Financial Services industry, experience in working with financial reports, and the ability to effectively manage difficult internal and external client situations. --- Supporting various Municipal Bonds and trade types and performing daily controls and reconciliations to ensure that the team minimizes operational risk.--- Responsible for Trade validation and Trade Event management and reporting--- Deliver support for new products and initiatives, define requirements for Trade support and be able to influence peers and business partners.--- Being a natural first point of contact for the Front Office, P&L team, other Business partners and the Bank's customers.--- Candidate must be able to drive trade capture projects and coordinate implementation across multiple platforms and groups.--- Associate will also perform trade analytics to resolve trade queries and measure and control day-to-day operating environment.Required skills:--- Must be a highly motivated team player who can be flexible in his/her approach and able/willing to question existing procedures and processes in order to improve them.--- Good written/verbal communication skills.--- Must demonstrate a "can-do" attitude necessary to create good relationships with traders, management, other business partners and the Bank's customers.--- Minimum of 3-4 years of applicable experience (e.g. Operations, Middle Office, Derivatives).--- Strong Excel skills.
