Our client is a leading manufacturer and provider of water and wastewater pumps, packages, and systems. This is a direct hire position with our client in Brooklyn, NY.

You will report directly to our Clients' Production Engineering Manager and will be responsible for managing the day-to-day production at the Federal Pump site of Pump Systems located in Brooklyn, NY. The Production Technicians will report to you. You will work closely with engineers and technicians to optimize workflow, ensure accurate bill of materials and inventory, maintain data integrity, and manage shipping/receiving.You will need to have great attention to detail and will be able to operate within an ERP system, as well as have strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and work under pressure.Responsibilities: - Manage day-to-day production at the Federal pump - Manage and improve Inventory at Shepherd and off-site storage location - Collaborate with Engineers to optimize workflow and make corrective changes to production procedures - Manage Shipping/Receiving - Maintain order and good relationships within the shop - Communicate regularly with upper management regarding any production-related issues - Motivate, Support, and guide production staff - Coordinate the flow of materials, parts, and sub-assemblies between departments on shop floor as well as to and from suppliers, by ensuring the availability of equipment, tooling, materials, and labor. - Review materials and parts inventory required for production - Compare records on inventory, materials/parts requirements to ensure adequate programmed control data - Use problem-solving and critical thinking skills to overcome obstacles - Teach lean concepts and actively engage employees to improve speed, and quality and reduce cost - Quality control - Inventory management - Shipping and Receiving - Knowledge of pumpsJob Type: Full-timeSalary: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
