TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a
qualified Long-Term Care RN in Edison, New Jersey, 08820 About The
Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Long Term
Care (LTC) - CWR Job Duration: 13-week contract Shift: Day - 5x8 -
7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, every other weekend, with holiday requirement
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years
of experience required in LTC License: NJ State Professional
Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart
Association (AHA) Must-Have: - At least 1-year prior experience
working as an RN in a subacute long-term care/rehabilitation
facility - Experience working with a variety of patient conditions
and ages - Adaptability Job Description: - Work as part of a
multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered nursing and
rehabilitation services - Support the Unit Manager by maintaining
excellent clinical standards and enhancing patient experience -
Provide the highest level of service to patients, families, and
visitors to ensure satisfaction - Ensure all assigned residents
receive medications, treatments, and nursing care as ordered -
Complete all required documentation according to state and federal
guidelines - Supervise and assign tasks to nursing personnel on the
unit - Establish nursing care plans using nursing diagnoses for
patients in collaboration with the supervisor and nursing personnel
- Implement plans of care for residents - Prioritize and complete
routine assignments within guidelines and schedules independently -
Recognize psychosocial needs and provide emotional support -
Maintain accurate records for all patients in the unit - Identify
and report potential problems regarding patient care development or
administration - Maintain adequate inventory of medications,
equipment, and supplies - Record, report, and interpret patient
responses to treatment and care to the interdisciplinary team -
Identify and assess changes in patient conditions/needs and report
to Charge Nurse - Ensure equipment maintenance as per facility
policy and use equipment per specifications - Represent the nursing
staff on committees, as requested by supervisors - Identify patient
needs and treatment opportunities, providing ongoing services to
meet those needs - Maintain professional competence and stay
current with occupational health and nursing trends through
participation in continuing education and in-service programs -
Foster good relationships and communication with team members,
patients, and visitors - Assist with new team member orientation
and provide key experiences to prepare for independent performance
of essential job functions - Report problems to Manager promptly
This position requires a team approach to problem-solving through
frequent communication and collaboration on complex issues to
provide appropriate care. Fluency in English, including reading,
