profession. The Pharmacy Intern work assignments are varied and
frequently require interpretation and independent determination of
the appropriate courses of action.Schedule Option 1: 16 hours per
weekSunday: 9am to 5pm and PRN onsite (8 hours)Weekday schedule : 8
hours during the week onsite, hours can be split up during the

acts as an apprentice while completing formal education.

designated technical and clerical tasks associated with the
preparation, labeling and dispensing of medications, including
compounded medications and prepackaged or unit dose drugs. In
addition, the intern performs designated tasks regarding pharmacy
quality control, management of pharmacy records, inventory control
and preparation of orders for drugs. The Pharmacy intern will
assist Pharmacist with fulfillment and speak to nurses and MD's via
phone.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists pharmacists in labeling and dispensing of
medications.
- Weighs, prepares and generates batch for preparation of
compounded medications. This includes Rapid Dissolve Tablets,
Creams, Suppositories, and Suspension.
- Keeps Compounding room organized and clean
- Helps pharmacist with duties to keep compounding room
compliant.
- Organizes assigned work load to facilitate its
accomplishment.
- Prepares MTM blister packs and does medicine reconciliation
with patients.
- Completes batch records and other pharmacy records as
indicated.
- Verifies completed batch records against the computer
record.
- Generates labels and picks and packages prepackaged and unit
dose drugs in accordance with the dispensing order (pick-list) and
under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Participates with the pharmacist in monitoring/maintain drug
inventories and preparing orders for drugs and related
supplies.
- Answers the telephone and takes message as indicated.
- Attends designated departmental meetings as scheduled.
- Performs other tasks or duties as requested.

- Must be enrolled in accredited Pharmacy School (1st through 4th
year)
- Knowledge of basic drug terminology, pharmaceutical
calculations, drug use and aseptic technique.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Ability to compound medications in a nonsterile environment
with proper safety precautions.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in
writing.
- Possesses good organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in data entry and use of a computer.
- Possess the ability and initiative to plan for and complete
daily activities with minimal direction.
- Dependable in attendance and job performance.Scheduled Weekly
Hours1Pay RangeThe compensation range below reflects a good faith
estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week)
employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or
lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary
based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience,
education, certifications, etc.$45,500 - $62,700 per
