As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), your responsibilities will include:

• 
  
• Organizing and conducting physical therapy programs planned by the Physical Therapist to facilitate rehabilitation.
  
• Assisting in planning, organizing, developing, and implementing physical therapy services under the Physical Therapist's supervision.
  
• Performing treatment programs for assigned residents.
  
• Entering billing information accurately and on time.
  
• Reporting resident progress in meetings as required.
  
• Consulting with the rehabilitation team to coordinate physical therapy with other therapeutic activities.
  
• Providing residents with equipment as needed.
  
• Charting notes in an informative manner reflecting the therapy provided and the resident's response.
  
• Cooperating with all departments and staff to promote optimal resident care.
  
  
  Requirements:
  
  • 
    
  • Accredited school graduate with a Physical Therapy Assistant degree.
    
  • Licensed in NY State as a Physical Therapist Assistant; license in good standing.
    
  • Previous skilled nursing facility experience highly preferred.
    
  • Ability to work well under pressure and harmoniously with all staff.
    
  • Desire to work with the elderly, chronically ill, and handicapped.
    
  • Excellent customer service skills.
    
  • Ability to communicate well verbally with residents, families, and staff.
    
  • Treating residents and fellow staff with respect, dignity, and compassion.
