Job Summary:

Waterview Hills Rehabilitation & Healthcare is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will be responsible for organizing and conducting physical therapy programs under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Your goal will be to facilitate the rehabilitation of residents who have experienced a decrease in functions, ensuring they receive the highest quality care and resident experience.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and conduct physical therapy programs for assigned residents under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist in planning, organizing, developing, and implementing physical therapy services to ensure the highest degree of quality resident care.
• Perform treatment programs for assigned residents and enter billing information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Report resident progress in meetings and consult with other members of the rehabilitation team to coordinate physical therapy with other therapeutic activities.
• Provide residents with equipment as appropriate and chart notes in an informative and descriptive manner.
  Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy Assistant.
  • Licensed in NY State as a Physical Therapist Assistant; license in good standing.
  • Previous skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience highly preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate well verbally with residents, families, and staff.
