The Line Cook will prepare meals according to our recipes and standards, ensuring quality and consistency. The ideal candidate has a passion for food and cooking, with a keen interest in learning new culinary techniques and flavors.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Precisely follow Chama Mama recipes and cooking procedures
  
• Ensure ingredients are fresh and properly portioned
  
• Follow food health and safety procedures
  
• Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and delivery of all meals
  
• Hold quality control checks by tasting dishes and prepped items before serving
  
• Conduct regular checks of kitchen equipment and report any malfunctions
  
• Adjust cooking techniques to accommodate dietary restrictions or customer preferences
  
• Uphold and maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen
  
• Properly store food items at the appropriate temperatures
  
• Manage food inventory and storage
  
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly
  
• Assist in the training of new kitchen staff
  
  
  Qualifications:
  
  • 
    
  • Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant, cafe, or hotel
    
  • Familiarity with various cooking methods
    
  • Familiarity with ingredients, equipment, and procedures
    
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills
    
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
    
  • DOH certificate/ license preferred
    
  • Passion for food and cooking with a desire to learn and grow culinary skills
    
  • Strong attention to detail
    
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
    
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds or more
    
  • Ability to work in a hot or humid environment at certain times
    
  • Ability to frequently move around the kitchen
