Job Description:

A company is looking for a Scientific Applications Programmer II to develop and maintain software solutions for the National Data Buoy Center.



Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with team members to implement maintainable software code that meets customer requirements
Gather and clarify requirements from stakeholders and demonstrate progress through working software
Test application software to ensure accuracy and troubleshoot any issues affecting data flow


Required Qualifications

BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Computer or Software Engineering, Information Systems, or Mathematics preferred
4+ years of experience in converting technical problem formulations into software applications
Knowledge of web-based development and database concepts
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, PHP, C/C++, SQL, XML, and HTML
Experience with LAMP stack and knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems preferred
