The firm seeks a patent prosecution associate with at least 5+ years of biotechnology experience to join the Intellectual Property (IP) Group in our New York office.

Duties include:

• Preparing and prosecuting patent applications.
• Performing patent landscape, freedom-to-operate, noninfringement, and invalidity analysis.
• Conducting IP due diligence.
• Mentoring junior patent agents.Qualifications:
• Strong academic credentials.
• Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and writing skills.
• An advanced degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, immunology, or pharmacology.
• Admission to the Patent Bar.Candidates must have strong interpersonal, communication, research, analysis, and writing skills, as well as a track record of academic and professional excellence.They should be prepared to assume significant responsibility in the management of their matters and to take on a front-facing role with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts.We offer competitive compensation and excellent benefits in a collegial working environment that offers training and mentorship.Expected Patent Prosecution Attorney salary: $345,000 to $415,000 depending on experience.
