with us.BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Systems Engineering
Manager to join our Command, Control, Communications, Computers,
Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Systems (C4ISRS),
engineering team at our Greenlawn, NY location. In C4ISR Systems
you'll help develop systems that sense, control, exploit and
disseminate actionable information to warfighters supporting a
variety of missions.This position requires strong interpersonal
skills and technical leadership as you will be a key leader and
mentor in the department, employing leadership, presence, and
influence to foster teamwork and execution. You will provide
oversight of the execution of Systems Engineering principles and
practices throughout all phases of the lifecycle, including process
tailoring, architecture development and review, requirements
development, design, integration and test, transition to
production, and product support.In this leadership role, you will
report to the C4ISRS Business Area Systems Engineering Lead and
provide guidance, leadership, and management to the on-site
engineering team of approximately 30 talented systems engineers
supporting the Tactical Systems Product Line. Position requires a
people first mentality through open communication and flow down,
career development and training, constructive employee feedback,
and providing a safe and inclusive work environment.Roles and
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Systems Engineering team
- Collaborate with Program Engineering Leads and other
engineering disciplines to support the Tactical Systems business
evolving needs and success
- Staffing: Recruit, retain, train, recognize, develop, and
assign team members as appropriate to meet Product Line needs
- Development individual and group goals and objectives and
management of employee performance
- Ensure group members adhere to BAE Systems' cultural
principals, policies, and vision
- Track program execution through metrics and technical
reviews
- Provide technical support to programs through proposal and cost
estimation reviews, participation in independent design reviews,
architecture review boards and other technical reviews
- Strategy development to support business area growth that
includes your recommendations on how to: Build and sustain the
systems engineering workforce and incorporate industry best
practices and new tools and technologies to enhance
effectivenessBecause of the need for intermittent in-person
collaboration and/or the requirement to perform a portion of work
onsite, this position will be considered hybrid. This means work
will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility as well as
remotely, when applicable. ---* Please note that pursuant to a

- U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering,
Mathematics, or Computer Science
- 12+ years of applicable systems engineering experience,
including all phases of engineering lifecycle
- Proven Systems Engineering technical leadership/management
skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience
in communicating technical concepts
- Ability to formulate a strategic vision and define and
implement action plans to achieve goals in a changing environment
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Active Secret Clearance
- Advanced technical degree or certification relevant to
engineering, technical, or business focus
- Functional Management Leadership experience (i.e. performance
management, staffing)
- Experience with Model Based and Agile development
methodologies
- Experience interfacing with internal and external
customers
- Experience developing/reviewing technical and cost artifacts
for new business activities
- Experience supporting Trade Studies, Con Ops development, Cost
Account Management, engineering initiatives and agile process
applicationPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $147300 -
$250400Please note: This range is based on our market pay
structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a
variety of factors including, but not limited to: business
considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as
well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and
